About this Company
Studio Hinge is a multi-award winning architecture, interior & product design practice founded by Pravir Sethi in early 2014. Located at Marine Drive in Mumbai, the studio is currently comprised of ten designers and 3D visualizers. Led by Pravir Sethi, the principal architect, Studio Hinge is known for its meticulous attention to detail and compelling narratives in their work. Some of their notable projects include the ultra-luxury residential project 219 Boat Club in Pune, the Merint Group Headquarters in Dubai, a Yoga Studio for the Cricket Club of India, and the factory offices for Bisleri at their new HQ building in Andheri. Additionally, Studio Hinge specializes in the design of custom-made furniture.
Pravir Sethi, the founder of Studio Hinge, graduated from the Academy of Architecture in Mumbai in 2002. After gaining experience working with Samira Rathod for a year, he pursued a Masters in Architectural Design from the prestigious Bartlett School of the Built Environment, University College London (UCL) in 2004. During his time in London, Pravir had the opportunity to work with renowned British architecture firms such as Marks Barfield Architects and David Chipperfield Architects. He also successfully completed the Part 3 Professional Practice examination of the Royal Institute of British Architects, becoming a registered architect in Denmark.
Returning to India in 2009, Pravir joined Ratan J Batliboi Architects as Project Head before moving on to Sanjay Puri Architects. As an associate at Sanjay Puri Architects, Pravir led various projects for esteemed clients including Rustomjee, Kalpataru, Evershine, and RNA. Notably, he played a key role in the development of Global City, a 300-acre township in Virar jointly developed by Rustomjee and Evershine. Pravir has also shared his expertise as a visiting faculty member at the Balwant Sheth School of Architecture from 2009 to 2016 and at the Indian School of Design & Innovation (The Parsons New School of Design, NYC).
