iSTUDIO Architecture
About this Company:
iSTUDIO architecture is a Mumbai-based collaboration of architects who are open to experiments and innovation in architecture and design. They refuse to cater to any specific typology of architecture and strive to respond to each project contextually, considering the client’s requirements and site demands. The firm is involved in all aspects of the project, including design, costing, contractor selection, site execution, and supervision. They believe that architecture has a significant impact on society and must be used responsibly. Each partner brings their background in alternative technologies and the study of traditional methods and materials, contributing to the firm’s ideology and design with their own experiences. By combining traditional construction methods with technological innovations, their structures have a sense of rootedness in the local context while also embodying a contemporary spirit.
The levels of interaction between the client, architects, and contractors vary for each project, depending on the client’s requirements, demands, needs, and budget. iSTUDIO aims to combine all aspects and present the client with a design that offers complete solutions and possibilities. Each partner approaches projects with a different attitude and prioritizes design issues accordingly, resulting in more comprehensive and resolved design solutions. The role of each partner also changes for each site, and every project undergoes vigorous discussions and design sessions. The final product is the result of different approaches that have evolved into a cohesive design. The partners analyze and discuss each project individually and together, ensuring innovative and refined solutions for all their projects.
iSTUDIO architecture is the result of the shared thoughts, beliefs, and ideas about architecture and design between partners Shriya Parasrampuria, Prashant Dupare, and Amit Patil. They are batchmates from Sir J.J College of Architecture in Mumbai. With their different personalities, the partners believe that analysis and debate always lead to better designs.
